My favorite New Kid on the Block (Joey, of course!) has a new music video out in which he TAKES OFF HIS SHIRT. Be still, my 11-year-old-girl-crush-heart that is hiding somewhere deep inside of me. Where was this video 19 years ago when my walls (and ceiling- I was thorough AND in love) were covered in NKOTB posters (courtesy of Teen Bop and Tiger Beat)?!?! My first concert was New Kids on the Block (I was 9, it was in Frankfurt, and we ended up getting heat stroke from the millions of crazed German fans that were rushing all around us outside) and they will always have a special place in my heart. And Joey? Well, he has an extra special place in my heart. I don't care if he is an Old Kid now. We're all young at heart.

The Stork Visited...More Of Our Friends!
Congrats to S&R on the arrival of baby Michael...is that...yes...it is...another Vikings fan! Here's to another life of the "almost's" and "if only's" that only a true Minnesota Vikings fan will understand. I'll be here to share in your pain kiddo.

And a shout out to R&A on the fact baby Maggie FINALLY decided to come and visit! We're super excited for you all! Just remember Russ get's jealous easily!!

Next on the docket...B&T in January.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry!
So yes it's been a while since I posted my random thoughts to the Brandy...er I mean family blog. So I'm going to make an early New Year's resolution to do a bit better in the future with the whole quick postings thing.
The title of this blog may lead you to believe the Cunningham household is gearing up for some early season holiday cheer (which the garland and lights on our banister would tell you is correct) but this is really the loooooong awaited photos from what we are affectionately calling our 12 hour food coma.
Yes, that's right after 9 weeks of working out like crazy people and dropping a combined 30 pounds, Brandy and I decided to binge...a lot! Yes, all of this was in one day. But, rest assured we are back in the death-by-workout-six-days-a-week schedule.
Go ahead...see the food binging for yourselves!

Happy Birthday Braxton!
Our nephew, Braxton, turns 1 on the 10th and we celebrated yesterday with cake and cookies and presents, oh my! Lawrence and I picked out the party decorations (monkeys, of course, because nothing says I'm turning one like a monkey!) and made cupcakes and cookies for the party which was at my mom's house. Here's a few of the highlights!
The birthday boy (complete with his birthday monkey shirt and hat!)
You want some cake? I have a few bites left to share...
A quick bath and costume change before the next round of birthday fun!
Wow! Another toy that makes lots of noise? Perfect!
And everyone got to take a monkey (or banana) cookie home.
That's the true sign of a good party, wouldn't you say?!
Toot, toot: A Closer Look
Des Moines Business Record is a weekly print/online publication of the who's who and what's what in the business world in central Iowa. Aparently, this week Lawrence is the who's who. But we already knew that, huh?

Help Yourself
What's that, little squirrel? You're hungry? Need to fatten up for winter? Oh, well let us help you out with that! After all, Halloween is over and I'm so anxious to get on with Christmas that Lawrence will probably think that I paid you to come and distroy our front door display. But no, you did it for free.
I'm really glad that you didn't let the location of the pumpkins deter you in any way. In fact, with this little guy you just decided to up and move it to the center of our leaf-filled yard. Very resourceful!

Oh, and when the good stuff was just a little too out of reach, you just dove right in and decided to eat from the inside out. Genius, really. Why eat through the tough stuff when you've already created an opening even the fattest of squirrel could fit through?
And it's great to see you all sharing together, too. I mean, after all, there is enough to go around, at least for another hour or two at the rate you're going.
Feast away, my little furry friends. Christmas is right around the corner!
